Your library, projects, scan results, cleanup history and AI usage records are stored on your Mac. Arvlin does not collect analytics and does not upload your files. It checks for its own updates at arvlin.com; we count those checks per version with an anonymous ID that changes daily, without storing your IP address.
App updates
To compare versions, the Updates tab contacts Homebrew (formulae.brew.sh), GitHub (api.github.com), Apple’s App Store lookup (itunes.apple.com) and your other apps’ own Sparkle or Electron update feeds; when you choose Update, it downloads from the publisher’s site. No personal data or file contents are sent. It checks automatically every 6 hours; switch off “Check automatically every 6 hours” in the Updates tab to stop that.
On this website
This site sets no tracking cookies and loads no third-party scripts. Our server keeps short technical logs for security. We count visits and downloads with PostHog, hosted in the EU, in its cookieless mode: nothing is stored in your browser, no visitor is identified and IP addresses are discarded.
When you buy
Polar processes your payment and shares your email address and order number with us. We use them only to deliver your license by email through Resend and to answer support requests.
